Fodder vs. Freelancers - Episode 1

Welcome all to Survivor Blood Gulch: Fodder vs. Freelancers, a Survivor simulation with the cast of RvB! The simulation will be run in the style of the Fans vs. Favorites season of Survivor (which consisted of a tribe of inexperienced fans battling a tribe of all star players), thus the Fodder vs. Freelancers theme. And, as you can all imagine, here are our starting tribes:

Can you all imagine who would be the Final Two? (I’m pretty sure it’s F2, not F3 in this season, but we’ll see). Anyway, let’s jump right into the first challenge!

So there’s a hidden idol, one for each tribe, and only the first person to find it (and grab it) gets immunity. I can totally imagine the Freelancers immediately jumping into action, while the Reds and Blues just...do what they can, in their beautifully chaotic manner. So which two are the winners of the challenge?...

So there’s no surprise that Tex is the one that finds the idol for the Freelancers (she is a little bit of a badass, after all), but wow! It’s Caboose the one that gets it for the Fodder team! I can see that, tho, everyone arguing and being their Red and Blue selves while Caboose wanders on his own, and hello! An Idol!

So let’s see how alliances are set up (for now...)

So the Red Alliance seems to have the numbers over the Blue Alliance, which might spell trouble for the Blues if the whole team doesn’t win challenges. There’s also Doc, who’s a pacifist and probably not in any alliance, but well...he likes Donut the most of all the people, so who knows (Yeah, I’m Docnut trash, guys, sorry). Kai has a strong bond with Grif, too, so she might be able to keep herself from being voted off...

As for the Freelancers...

Look, the Freelancers are a mess. We know. But they are a bit of a mess in the show, so it’s only natural that there wouldn’t just be a big alliance for the start. We know Carolina hates Tex, York trusts Lina, CT only trusts Tex, The siblings have a strong bond but Who Knows what might happen. Florida and Wyoming are in it to win it. And then you have Wash and Maine (Who, ok, I forgot to set an alliance, but it’s not S8, ok?). 

Bottom line is, the Freelancers are Unpredictable, and that makes for good TV

So it’s Immunity Challenge time! Who will be the first winning team?

Well, shocker, right? Not. The Freelancers are the professional team, after all, so it’s pretty accurate that they’d win the first challenge. So yeah, the Freelancers save themselves from having to go to Tribal Council, good job!

That doesn’t bode well for our colorful marines, tho...

Notable Tribe Events: In the Fodder camp, the Blue Alliance becomes just a tad weaker, with everyone at a 5 in loyalty. In the Freelancers camp, however, the Dakotas strengthen their bond. Hurrah for family love!

And so, it’s time for the first Tribal Council! The Fodder team gets to approach their torch to the fire (because fire represents your life, once it’s out, you’re out of the game, yadda yadda yadda). Everyone gets to vote on who goes home next, what happens?

Caboose plays his idol because he has to, so nobody can vote for Caboose.

So there is a tie, between Sarge and Kai! That means they don’t vote, but everyone else has to vote for one of them. And so...

The first person voted off from Survivor Blood Gulch is Kai. As you can imagine, all the Blues voted for Sarge, and all the Reds voted for Kai (Oh, Grif, what a bad brother). Doc originally voted for Sarge (according to the sim, he likes Sarge less than Kai!), but he then switched to avoid a tie (a second tie is a Bad Thing in survivor, because then the two people are saved, and the rest of the tribe has to pick rocks to determine which of them goes home). 

Now the Blues are at a clear disadvantage, but can they maybe sway Doc back to their side? And what will the Freelancers do next?
